Process

Six stages, and you always know which one you are in

Most frustration with financing comes from silence. Here is the whole sequence, including what happens if the answer is no.

Start with a question

The journey

  1. Explore your options

Read what each product is for and what it requires. Nothing is submitted and no personal details are needed. If the product does not match the purpose, this is where you find out.

  2. Submit your request

Tell us the amount, the purpose and the timescale. A few minutes. This is an enquiry, not an application, and it is not a commitment.

  3. Application review

We check eligibility and open a file. You receive one document list and a named contact. Assessment covers identity, affordability and, where relevant, security or trading history.

  4. Offer or decision

A written outcome. An offer sets out the amount, term, rate, fees and total cost. A refusal explains the reasoning so you know whether the situation is worth revisiting.

  5. Agreement

You review the agreement in your own time, with any statutory reflection or withdrawal period that applies. Questions are answered before signature, not after.

  6. Funding, where applicable

Once conditions are met, funds are released in one amount or in stages. The repayment schedule and the first payment date are confirmed in writing.

What you can expect from us

  • Acknowledgement of every enquiry.
  • One consolidated document request rather than repeated follow-ups.
  • A named contact for the duration of the file.
  • Written decisions with reasoning, including refusals.
  • No pressure to accept an offer within an artificial deadline.
  • The full cost of credit before signature, never after.

What we need from you

  • Accurate information, including commitments you would rather not mention.
  • Documents in full, since partial files stall at assessment.
  • Prompt notice if your circumstances change.
  • Questions whenever something is unclear.

Withholding an existing commitment does not improve an outcome. It produces an assessment based on a situation that does not exist.

Process questions

How long does the whole process take?

It depends on the product and on how quickly documents arrive. Personal applications are quickest; property cases involve valuation and legal work and take considerably longer. You receive an expected timescale when your file is opened.

Can I pause an application?

Yes. Tell your contact and the file is held. Some checks and quotations expire after a period and may need to be repeated.

What if I am declined?

You receive the reasoning in writing. Sometimes the issue is timing or documentation rather than the underlying situation, and a later application can succeed.

Is an offer binding on me?

An offer is not an obligation to proceed. You can decline it. Where a statutory withdrawal period applies after signature, it is stated in your agreement.

Ready when you are

Start with a question. There is no application form until you decide there should be.
